St Cuthbert’s College is looking for a full-time permanent Non-Resident Boarding House Manager commencing ASAP.
This is a key role and responsibilities are:
- The effective management of the Boarding House
- The well-being and safety of our Boarders
- Assisting with the coordination and organisation of Boarding social events and activities
- Working closely with students, parents and designated caregivers in conjunction with the College staff
To be successful in this position you will have:
- A genuine interest in the pastoral care of teenage girls
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collegiately
- Enthusiasm and patience
- A team player orientation, with maturity and professionalism
- Proven administrative experience and IT skills
- Experience within the health or education sectors (particularly working with teenage girls) would be an advantage but not a requirement
- Ability to communicate with empathy and understanding with adolescent girls
The successful applicant will work the following hours:
- Term time - 2.30pm to 10.30pm Sundays to Thursday
In addition, you will be required to work:
- First and last day of each term – as rostered
- 1 additional week (5-weekdays) following the end of Term 4 – 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
- 1 additional week (5-weekdays) prior to the commencement of Term 1 – 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
- 2 days in each of the Terms 1, 2 and 3 breaks – 8:00 am to 4:30 pm - the first weekday and the last weekday of the term break, or as negotiated with the Director of Boarding
- Other Boarding events as required, including but not limited to: closed weekend activities at the start of the year, Boarders social, St Cuthbert’s Weekend Open Day, International students orientation day, Boarders’ leaders lunch, Boarders’ family chapel service and dinner, Pre Grad Ball, Boarders’ closed weekends.
