Anchorage Trustee Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Duncan Cotterill is based in Christchurch although operates nationally. As Statutory Supervisors appointed under the Retirement Villages Act, they monitor the financial position of the retirement villages reporting annually to the registrar and residents on the performance, while also offering advocacy services and undertaking other functions specified in the Act or the deed of supervision with the retirement village.
Due to the growth of the business, this is a newly created position within the team. The position is part time and equivalent to two days per week.
The Business Manager role works closely with the General Manager supporting the various operational and technical aspects in delivering a range of financial reporting, statutory compliance and management services. In addition, the Business Manager plays an active role in business development, with a strong emphasis on client relationship management reporting annually to the Registrar of Retirement Villages and residents. The role will also support the unit settlement team and associated property settlement processes.
Applications are sought from candidates who can offer technical skills & experience in the financial and statutory reporting aspects, balanced against the personal attributes that will be required in managing the client relationships and the interaction with the retirement village residents.
Candidates with either legal, accounting and finance backgrounds will be ideally suited. Excellent communication and presentation skills will be key attributes for the successful candidate. A relevant professional qualification is also required.
