We are looking for enthusiastic and effective people with experience and training in working with students with special education needs to start in Term 3 2018.
To be successful in this role you will:
· be able to support and guide students with diverse learning needs
· have experience in working with children and young people with special education needs
· be able to apply effective strategies to work with students with diverse needs and complex behaviours
· be able to motivate and engage students, be physically fit and are able to set boundaries
· have empathy, patience and a deep interest in students learning
· have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work in a team as well as independently
· demonstrate self motivation, creativity and flexibility
· PECS, SPELL and other relevant training an advantage
Hohepa is a therapeutic community based on the work of Rudolf Steiner. It is expected that the principles of Curative Education will be respected by the applicant and the required practices be applied in his/her work.
