We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead our supply planning disciplines and lead the overall integrated business planning process. As you deal with a team and suppliers based in China, it is key you are fluent in Mandarin. You will be leading and managing a team of nine based in NZ and our office in China.
You will require a logical, quality focused mindset and be able to analyse and identify issues and develop courses of action to achieve a desired result. Being commercially savvy is key in this role so you can see the big picture but also manage the operational one! Your outstanding communication skills will be well utilised in this role, where you will be building relationships and working with multiple business units across BDL. The ability to make decisions with surety and confidence is a must to meet targets and achieve results.
Your responsibilities will include:
- supplier management - managing SLAs and improve operations with strong supplier relationships
- product sourcing - work with the business to deliver high quality, compliant products - marketing, R and D, QA, manufacturing plants - China based
- continuous improvement - championing process improvement by identifying opportunities for efficiency gains
- commercial awareness - how you contribute to the financial success of BDL - your ROI, budget management
- stakeholder communication - managing relationships across the business with regards to supply chain
- leadership and management - effectively manage and lead the Supply Chain team, across NZ and China, handling all employee related matters, including development, coaching, performance and disciplinary situations.
We are looking for someone with solid experience in the distribution/logistics industry, FMCG and/or shipping/freight industry. Ideally you will have a Supply Chain or related tertiary qualification. It is essential to be fluent in Mandarin for this role.
