Property Services is looking for a highly organised Assistant Project Manager to join a busy team. This fixed term position reports to the Project Manager responsible for furniture procurement in Planning and Capital Projects.

This role will be heavily involved within current projects across the University and will be working closely with stakeholders, project teams, contractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities and duties include the following:

  • Coordination of furniture aspects of planning and capital projects work flow, including the placement of orders and deliveries
  • Arranging meetings, recording meeting notes and distributing to attendees
  • Creative input in optimising office layouts and selecting materials
  • Administering project progress by tracking timelines, following up on actions, risks and escalating issues to Project Managers
  • Project support; performing research, analysing information, providing documentation, and preparing reports

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Ideally, a minimum of two years' experience within project or property coordination with spatial awareness
  • A tertiary background in Architecture or Design will be a plus
  • Intermediate-level experience with MS Office Suite and familiarity with CAD will be an advantage, but aptitude to pick up new systems will be sufficient
  • A can-do attitude, as well as being highly-organised with great attention to detail and strong initiative
  • Effective communication skills, whilst being courteous and a strong team player
