CSL Containers is a 100% New Zealand owned and operated business and leasing and selling shipping containers since 1987.
Container modifications are an important part of CSL Containers - no job is too big or too small for our team.
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual, preferably with a strong interiors fit-out and/or mechanical background for the position of full-time Leading Hand of the Modifications Team.
This position comes with an attractive wage and will be based from our main yard in Otahuhu.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading the shipping container modifications team
- Modifying containers to suit customers' needs
- Working from plans to fabricate/modify containers
- Ordering materials and maintaining relationships with suppliers
- Liaise with sales team to meet delivery timelines
- Reporting to the manager with key information regarding project resources and schedules
- Liaise with architects, engineers and stakeholders to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction
- Develop innovative designs for customers
- Maintain our fleet of leased modified containers (lunchrooms, offices, pop-up containers etc.)
- Adhering to health and safety procedures and policies
Preference will be given to applicants with a trade qualification in fitting or similar fabrication.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful applicant will require the following:
- Supervision experience
- Good communication skills
- MIG (steel or ali) welding and fabrication experience and/or fitting experience
- Ability to work unsupervised while being a good team role model
- Produce work of high quality with excellent attention to detail
- Able to work and multi-task across multiple jobs and/or sites
- Honest, reliable and capable of presenting a good company image
- Flexibility to work overtime
- A full NZ driver licence
- Physically capable
