About the position
Reporting to the National Dispatcher you will be an integral part of our transport team in effectively planning and co-ordinating the T&G transport fleet nationally in order to meet our customer's needs. This is a busy and diverse role which encompasses:
- Transport planning, scheduling and execution
- Providing a strong customer focus both internally and externally
- Plan and assist in the scheduling of maintenance for the T&G transport fleet
- Create load out forms and national drivers run sheets
- Co-ordinate bookings daily with the Interislander
- Schedule sub-contractors and the administration of invoices
- Identify, systems, runs and services that can be improved
What we are looking for
Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, can operate proactively and be able to demonstrate the following:
- Minimum 5 years experience within the transport industry
- Strong knowledge of transport legislation
- Exceptional time management skills and an eye for detail
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast moving environment
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to build relationships with a diverse range of business partners
- Team player
