PlaceMakers has an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join their Yard and Delivery Team at their Clarence St., Hamilton branch.
You will be responsible for maintaining the delivery vehicle to a high standard, safely loading and unloading the vehicle and ensuring that our Timber and Building products are delivered safely onsite to our customers in a professional and timely manner. You will be responsible for order make up, product management which includes merchandising and stock taking. As part of the Yard Team, you will also be assisting customers with their orders, providing them product and pricing information as well as responding to their queries.
Work schedule is 6:30 am to 4:30 pm, Mondays to Fridays.
We are looking for an energetic and motivated person who can contribute in a positive way to our customers and work well with the team. You will be someone who enjoy working with people and assisting customers with their needs. You will need to be flexible willing to assist in other areas of branch operations and work overtime if required. You have to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure. You will need to be physically fit as the role involves manual lifting and unloading plus stock organisation.
As you will be driving a flat-deck tipper and operating a truck loader crane, you will ideally hold a full Class 4 NZ Driver's Licence but Class 2 Drivers can be considered too. Having HIAB certification and a valid F endorsed licence would be advantageous. It is key for you to have solid Health and Safety values and play an active part in our commitment to providing a safe work environment.
