On behalf of our client a leading food company across Australia, New Zealand and Asia Pacific, we have a great opportunity to join their successful Dunedin team! This role is a duel position with two days being part of their packing team and the other in their Warehouse team as a Warehouse Assistant.
This role involves a wide variety of tasks, primarily providing frontline logistics and warehousing support to our clients’ customers, external contractors and other staff members as required. A current OSH forklift certificate is required. An F endorsement is an advantage, however not a requirement.
The hours are Sunday-Thursday 8am-4pm, a 6am start may be required at times.
Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Receipting, picking, packing, despatching and stock control
- Maintaining the upkeep and cleanliness of the stores area whilst adhering to our clients’ policies and procedures
- Liaising with external and internal customers
- Maintaining accurate records
- Providing outstanding customer service
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following
- Proven experience in warehousing and/or dispatch
- Sound knowledge of warehousing processes and procedures
- Strong relationship building skills
- Have Intermediate level typing skills and previous experience in SAP is advantageous
- A high level of Health and Safety awareness
