We have an excellent casual opportunity for an experienced stores person to act as a back- up, when required, at either of our two Albany based Gas Perimeter warehouses. This could suit a retired person or someone with stores experience looking for occasional casual work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembling and issuing materials required for specific company works, preventative/reactive maintenance and contracting jobs.
- Loading/unloading vehicles with the use of a forklift
- Ensuring inward and outward goods meet the required quantity, quality standard and specifications.
- Carrying out standard housekeeping duties associated with the store and yard, e.g. cleaning and tidying of plant, equipment and spares.
- Assisting with the purchasing of materials and other supplies as required.
- Working to required standards and plans, stopping work if unsafe or not to standard, reporting QSE issues that arise and managing risks in the workplace.
Key Skills / Experience/ Qualifications required:
- Previous stores experience.
- Basic computer literacy and previous experience using a stock management system such as Workbench or similar.
- Current fork lift licence.
- A valid New Zealand drivers licence.
- Physical fitness to carry out limited lifting.
- Can work to a high level of accuracy and attention detail.
