The Westpac New Zealand Limited Operations and Contact Centre Business Unit (OCC) is a diverse and dynamic distribution Business Unit that contains core enabling functions for the bank:  Operations, Contact Centre, Commercial Services (Procurement), Property Services and the Process Centre of Excellence.  The OCC first line of defence Risk team is a growing team leading the way in taking a mature and transformation Enterprise Risk approach across OCC and on WNZL wide Risk matters.  
 
 
About the role:
This pivotal role reports to the Senior Manager Enterprise Risk for OCC.  Key responsibilities include proactively promoting and supporting the identification, monitoring, measurement and management of Enterprise Risk obligations.  You will provide relevant, high quality information and data management, insights and technical expertise whilst assisting with embedding Westpac’s Risk Management Strategy and frameworks.
 
You will play a key role in providing recommendations for the development and maintenance of KPIs to measure Westpac’s management of risk.  You will also perform Control Self Assessments ensuring accuracy and robustness of the same.  
 
You will be valued for your MS office skills as well as your ability to influence data owners to improve data quality and alignment with risk reporting requirements. This role will require the successful applicant to design, build and maintain Risk Management Sharepoint sites in addition to building and maintaining process flows and risk bowtie diagrams using MS Visio or similar.  What you’ll need to succeed:
  • Experience in a reporting role delivering business insight
  • Strong technical skills and experience working with complex reporting systems
  • Commerce or Business qualification
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to use data to present messages effectively at a senior level.
