Auckland’s largest and best Japanese Foods Wholesaler and Distributor is seeking a motivated individual to work as Warehouse Supervisor in our Warehouse/Distribution Center located at South Auckland.
You will be working directly under Warehouse Manager and will be supervising a few staff working under you.
This position will be very hands on with a wide variety of warehouse activities including Shipping, Receiving and Quality Control. Must be readily able to handle a large volume of work in a fast paced environment.
You will be self directed, reliable and perform with the highest levels of integrity, respect and urgency. You will assist in operational functions and build strong relationships with our customers, vendors, and staff members.
Fluency in the Japanese language in both writing and speaking is preferred in order to perform a smooth operation.
Essential Requirements for this position will be following;
- Minimum 3 years of work experience as a warehouse supervisor
- The ability to work on full time (Minimum 40 hours a week)
- Willing to work for a long term
- The ability to challenge and go extra miles
- The ability to lift 15kg of the goods often in a day
- The skills that you can train and supervise staff
- The knowledge of the basic Japanese products/foods, preferred
- The ability to read and understand the description written in Japanese which is labeled on the each products, preferred
- Holding the NZ full license (and the ability to drive MT and a large-sized vehicle)
- Holding the forklift license or evidence that you complete the safety lessons
- Holding the Accredited Person certificate
- A proof that you are drug free
