The Role:

Reporting to the Supply Chain Services Manager, the purpose of this role is to develop and establish a company-wide ISO14001 certified Environment Management System. This includes, but is not limited to, establishing reporting to ISO 14064 and setting science-based GHG reduction targets. This work supports the company’s sustainability programme, which focuses on, amongst other things, water stewardship and a reduction in our carbon footprint.

 

This position will be a key member of the DB Sustainability Committee, which will guide and support for the development and implementation of the company’s sustainability programme. The position will also be a member of the Environmental Sustainability Pillar within Supply Chain, which will drive change and improvement according to Continuous Improvement (TPM) principles and methodology to achieve sustainable results. 

 

In addition, this role will train, coach and mentor the business on EMS and, where appropriate, lead improvement activities aligned with the business priorities.

 

This position is for a 12 month fixed term contract and will take a leading role in establishing an effective and sustainable EMS to allow DB to achieve its sustainability ambitions.

 

About you:

  • Ideally you will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field i.e. Science, Engineering, Technology, Environment
  • Knowledge of Process Engineering and the application of emerging technologies along with a good understanding of chemical and biological processes
  • 2+ years practical experience production, manufacturing, supply chain
  • 5+ years working within an established and advanced ISO14001 EMS (preferably active involvement in developing and implementing and/or environmental consulting)
  • Greenhouse gas emissions accounting and reporting to (ISO14064)
  • You will be an excellent relationship builder and be able to effectively manage a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • A true leader who can gain buy in and understanding across all levels
  • A demonstrable passion for Environmental Sustainability
