Zealand Tattoo Queenstown – Sales position

As Sales Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Studio Manager and oversee the Queenstown studio during the Studio Manager’s absence.

The hours/days available will vary, so flexibility is key; however we anticipate the successful candidate will be working 40 hours per week – on the two days the Studio Manager is rostered off, and usually from 1:00Pm to 9:00Pm, where on-going training will be provided.

The primary function of the Sales Assistant is customer/results focused. The role has been created to generate further revenue that is lost whilst the Studio Manager is absent. We expect the successful candidate to have a solid background in sales – both face-to-face and online sales; we are not seeking an artist in this role, rather a business–minded professional who is comfortable with hard selling and achieving premium pricing for our premium services.

There is no ‘typical’ Zealand Tattoo customer – Given our location in New Zealand’s tourism mecca, our customers come from all walks of life, from all over the world, so the ability to relate to various ethnicities and be ‘culturally sensitive/aware’ will be advantageous to your success in the role.

On any given day, the role encompasses:

• Customer meet & greet, consultation & booking
• Customer emails, job-sheets & correspondence
• Artist booking co-ordination
• Cash handling & book-keeping
• Studio cleaning and maintenance
• Design tattoo concepts for Online Designs
• Daily banking
• Briefing the artists on their job-sheets and providing an overview of what is involved with each job.
• Be a positive Zealand Tattoo “brand ambassador”
• Able to commit to the role for at least 12 months
