Job tasks and responsibilities
We need a strong dynamic Counter Manager with a total commitment and proven success to delivering retail sales growth and service excellence and highly demonstrable ambition to succeed with the ability to build and drive the sales teams.
The Counter Manager's key responsibility is to manage a team of Beauty Advisors and Brow Experts whilst maintaining solid working relationships with our department store retail partner.
Reporting to the Sales Development Manager, a day in the life will entail;
* Recruitment, coaching and performance management
* Liaising and negotiating with store Management for salary and sales support
* Setting, tracking and driving sales and service goals in line with company expectations
* Coordination and management of product launches and promotions
* Sales reporting, stock management and merchandising
* Leading by example as head 'Brand Ambassador'
* Actively attracting new customers and maintaining our existing loyal customer base.
This position is based at Smith and Caughey's Queen St.
This position is full time and you will be expected to participate in alternate late night trade and weekend shifts and will be encouraged to 'flex up' during peak periods and events.
Skills and experience
You will have;
* Minimum 1 year experience in a competitive sales environment
* Minimum 1 year in a management position with a least 3 direct reports
* Beauty Therapy qualifications would be highly regarded
You will also be;
*An excellent communicator with strong negotiations & customer service skills
* Commercially aware with solid business acumen
* Resilient and adaptive to change and challenge
* Passionate, personable and "fit" the Benefit culture
