We have an opportunity available for a motivated individual who has an outstanding understanding of Grocery and will be able to further increase the standards in a high performing Grocery team. ABOUT THE ROLE: In this role you’ll gain experience similar to running your own business with the challenge of creating an outstanding team that will deliver growth and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating all facets of the day to day operations of the Grocery Department and ensuring staff are well trained. We are looking for someone to maximize sales and achieve specified profit margins in the department whilst managing expenses, the department team and stock levels so that our customers receive an outstanding shopping experience. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL HAVE: •A strong people focus; be able to lead and supervise, work well with others, and persuade and influence •A results focus; be able to plan and organise to be able to deliver results through others •P and L skills calibre •A customer focus; be able to meet and exceed customer expectations; and Our chosen applicant will be physically fit and healthy, computer literate, have great communication skills and have a supervisory or management experience, preferably in a medium to large format Grocery environment like PnS or Foodstuffs. You will also need to be able to demonstrate how you have increased standards in your area of work during your time as a supervisor or manager.
