A fantastic opportunity for a motivated, dynamic and career orientated candidate interested in kick-starting their career by pursuing a trade qualification in butchery while gaining valuable relevant working experience. This is in our Waiuku, Auckland Supermarket, which is approximately 60 minutes away from Auckland CBD.

The Butchery Apprentice is responsible for completing a three-year Butchery Apprenticeship programme. This responsibility includes but is not limited to attaining the relevant unit standards that make up the programme, attendance at the assigned workshops and completion of all practical components of the programme.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A passion for Butchery and Retail;

• NZQA Level 2 or higher would be an advantage;

• Customer  & result focussed;

• Excellent (verbal & written) English communication skills;

• The ability to work effectively and productively with others;

• To be physically fit and healthy;

• Safety Conscious;

• Highly motivated and determined to complete all tasks without constant supervision;

• The ability to initiate action without being prompted to do so;

• Excellent listening skills and ability to follow instructions;

• Flexibility to work all days and hours of the week (one weekend day mandatory for all roles)
