As Digital Marketing Manager for Paid Search, you will fill a vital role within the team, creating and managing cost effective campaigns to bring relevant, convertible consumer traffic to our digital properties.

We are looking for a data-driven Digital Marketing Manager who will drive the optimization and performance of our paid marketing channels. In this role, you will develop, implement and optimize the performance of our paid search, shopping, retargeting, and paid-in-social channels. This role will require you to operate on both strategic and tactical levels, as you will be involved with all aspects of the paid marketing roadmap. Your role will be responsible for optimizing and enhancing our paid (and organic) traffic growth and complement integrated online campaigns. You will be cognisant to the role paid search plays within enhancing and promoting brand awareness, as well as the role brand plays within the success of traffic conversion from paid terms.

Key areas of Responsibility

  • Execute and continuously improve & optimise all paid search (Google, Bing, Yahoo, Baidu), auction media, shopping (PLA / Shopping Actions), streaming video, retargeting and paid social spend. To undertake daily / continuous bid optimisation, performance analysis and reporting.
  • Own paid marketing campaign structure, campaign launches, budget management, bid management, analytic tracking and reporting, multivariate testing and participation in beta program testing. Creation and implementation of on-going testing plans for ad copy, creative, landing pages, audience segments, targeting strategies etc to maximize media spend.
  • Implementation of A/B and multivariate testing to continuously improve ROI and performance.
  • Keep current on Search & Programmatic Media industry and identify new marketing technology opportunities that will increase revenue, improve efficiency and enhance campaign tactics.
  • Monitor campaign results, analyze and report key metrics (CPC, CPA, ROAS, LTV, other) to not only create actionable insights, but also to keep stakeholders informed about performance against company goals
  • Work closely with IT to ensure alignment of paid search strategies and ensure all major website changes have no negative impacts on paid presence and conversion
  • Identify gaps, trends, new initiatives to be explored (competitor and non-related categories), CRO, technical improvements, new tools, partner algorithm changes, best practice
  • Proactively identify and offer solutions to reverse any negative trends
  • Manage agencies, vendors and in-house teams in all areas impacting paid search

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years’ digital marketing experience at an Enterprise level in in Retail/E-Commerce or omni-channel with a passion for the build / execution of search engine and lead generation marketing campaigns (preferably for a high volume consumer website)
  • Must be a paid search subject matter expert with a proven track record in managing successful paid and paid-social campaigns in an agency or in-house setting
  • Experience executing search and metasearch campaigns working with PPC ad platforms (AdWords, Bing, other) and possess a solid understanding of streaming video tactics. AdWords certification a plus.
  • Outstanding ability to think creatively and identify & resolve problems
  • Solid working knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Experience using third party bid management applications such as Adobe Media Optimizer, Kenshoo, or Marin
  • Strong data and statistical analysis experience with the ability to interpret results into actionable items. A proven track record of decision making and problem solving based on analytic
  • Deep knowledge of design and implementation of programmatic and auto-bid tools and strategies as appropriate
  • Knowledge and experience with organic search success is a plus but not necessary
  • Excellent presentation and verbal and written communication skills with experience in presenting to senior leadership
  • Strong attention to detail and measurable success in campaign optimization and reporting
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills in a deadline driven atmosphere
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.
