This organisation works across a multitude of clients and stakeholders including government agencies, to assist with international trading opportunities for New Zealand importers and exporters including dairy, medical, meat, wine and building products. 

Reporting to the Chief Executive, this newly created role of Marketing and Communications Manager will develop and deliver the marketing and communications strategy and enable this organisation to better communicate their value and impact to current and future clients and stakeholders right across the country. There is an existing framework in place but it needs a review in some areas, and an overhaul in others.

They have a great story to tell, but it is currently not being told. Your impact will be immediately visible across the customer engagement and ‘brand’ development piece. Being able to write great stories, reach out into industry networks and increase the visibility and awareness of this organisation across many different platforms will see you hugely valued here. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented marketer to really add measurable value and develop the in-house marketing and communications function of this well-established and successful organisation. 

This role sits on the executive team which means your creative and technical marketing strategies will be heard and supported by the right individuals. To be a strong contender for this position you must be able to evidence a broad generalist marketing background, development of a successful marketing and communications strategy, advanced communication skills (particularly writing skills), and well-honed stakeholder management experience.  You will be a highly organised self-starter, be resourceful, have strong attention to detail and be comfortable working autonomously. You will also possess the following critical skills:

  • Degree qualified
  • Digital marketing experience
  • Experience working with/alongside government agencies and/or membership organisations
