New Zealand wine has been a remarkable success story, commanding the highest average price for still wine internationally. This enviable position in the international market is driven by a clear focus on producing high quality wine across the industry, as well as by a strong marketing programme targeting the premium market segments.
This is a customer-focused role within the marketing team, reporting to the International Education Manager. This role supports the International Education Manager and the wider marketing team, as well as being a contact for general marketing enquiries from New Zealand Winegrowers' member wineries.
Responsibilities include assistance with the International Education Programme (including tastings), maintenance of databases, the websites and the image library; management and distribution of marketing collateral and market data; collation and distribution of the monthly statistics; production of the marketing update for board reports; administrative assistance with the media and trade visitor programme (including tastings). The role is office and administration-based, however, some domestic travel may be required on occasion.
About you:
- A graduate with understanding of marketing, administration and communications
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail
- Competency with Microsoft packages, particularly Excel
- A valued team member, but can also show initiative and work well independently
- Able to take direction and complete tasks as directed by senior team members
- Enthusiasm and passion for wine
