OCG are looking for a Group Financial Controller for our clients' busy office in Christchurch. Reporting into the CFO, you will be responsible for the financial operations of the business.
We are looking for someone who wants to be actively and keenly involved in process refinement and improvement. The business is looking to build a high performing, slick team and so need someone who is happy to challenge the "status quo" and drive this success. This role is not for the faint hearted, as it is busy, varied and highly visible within the business.
Some of the key responsibilities:

Ensure the accurate and timely operation of all accounting functions through robust internal controls

Production of accurate financial information - monthly, quarterly and annually

Develop and execute the financial reporting requirements
-
Oversee the financial operation of the organisation and the daily operational management of the accounting function

Working with other departments to improve current practices and ensure an efficient financial business going forward
Some of the skills you need to bring to the table:

Significant technical knowledge and experience in a similar role
-
Ability to develop business and operational plans
-
Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop a team
-
Process improvement experience
-
Strong computer skills, especially in excel
-
Experience in both the retail and retail finance industries would be advantageous

Tertiary qualified with CA
