Silverdale Mechanical is a family owned and operated Business located in the Silverdale area. Due to growth we are seeking a qualified or suitably experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. We would also consider a petrol mechanic who is willing to learn the trade.
We offer a well equipped workshop and a friendly fun environment. There is regular overtime and weekend work available if desired.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Confident in the servicing, maintenance and repair of trucks and machinery
- A confident welder (Or keen to learn on the job)
- A motivated team player that supports the wider team
- Able to expand and maintain customer relationships
- Knowledgeable in Hydraulics and electrical systems would also be advantageous.
The successful applicant will:
- Have the ability to work under pressure while having an eye for detail.
- Have excellent communication skills; including both verbal and written.
- Be able to work autonimously and mentor and support less experienced staff.
- Have full work rights in New Zealand and a current NZ drivers Licence (HT will eventually be required but we are willing to assist in obtaining it)
- Show a willingness to contribute to Health and Safety
- Have a stable work history
