We are looking for a enthusiastic team player to join our team as a Rental Infection Control Specialist. The purpose of this role is to ensure all equipment is cleaned to the highest possible standard with correct status changes made in the rental system in accordance to the Standard Operating ProcedureRequired Skills

 

  • Ensure all equipment is cleaned upon return to a level whereby Swab testing returns no positive results of harmful bacterial levels
  • Ensure all equipment is tagged with written serial number, signed by and dated by cleaner.
  • Where applicable, equipment is wrapped / packaged prior to being returned to the finished goods area and / or shelves
  • Identify items that require service post the cleaning process
  • Ensure equipment status changes are made in JDE Rentals – RP to RC and RC to RA or RS
  • Ensure equipment that requires servicing, is placed in the rentals service designated area
  • Operate the automated washing unit and hand cleaning where required
  • Ensure that the automated washer is in continuous operation and flow from cleaning through drying to packing and
  • Ensure there is always a sufficient supply of washing liquids, cloths, buckets, mops, and associated products required to clean equipment
  • Ensure there is always a sufficient supply of disposable aprons, gloves, masks, hand sanitiser for all staff both within the rentals area and in the delivery vans
  • Ensure that the decontamination unit is kept clean and has a full wall to wall sanitize every month.
  • Ensure that all air filters and air flow system is checked by the installation company on an annual basis – report to be submitted to the Rentals manager for record keeping
  • When necessary, pick and package rental equipment ready for despatch
  • Additional responsibilities as requested or required.

 

Required Experience

 

  • Chemical storage or handling qualifications an advantage (not essential)
  • Fork Hoist license an advantage
  • Prior experience in a similar role or operating environment
  • A flexible work attitude, attention to detail and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge within the medical industry an advantage
  • Knowledge, skills and experience of OHS requirements
  • Clean Police record
