About the role

We are looking for an Industrial Electrician/Maintenance Engineer to join this progressive, successful company. Based at their purpose-built Sockburn premises and reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be joining a small qualified team to carry out electrical service, maintenance, installation and commissioning of production plant and machinery. In particular, you will be required to:

• Carry out preventative maintenance & emergency repairs of electrical & mechanical equipment
• Maintain relevant documentation standards & reporting on works undertaken
• Assist in maintaining building to Warrant of Fitness standards.

Skills and experience

• Be a qualified Industrial Electrician with Trade Certificate or equally qualified expertise
• Have an excellent attitude towards health and safety
• Be highly motivated and show initiative
• Be physically fit and work well under pressure
• Hold a current forklift licence (preferred but not a requirement)
• Hold a current motor vehicle licence
• A "can do" attitude is a must, as well as the ability to self-manage when required.
