Airspec is an Aviation support company and provides aircraft ground power equipment, installation and service support for the aviation industry nationally, and in the Pacific.
We supply and maintain both DC and AC diesel generator systems and electric converter technology.
Our DC power technology provides ground power support for propeller-based aircraft. This equipment also provides power to start the engines.
Our AC based equipment provides ground power to support the smallest jets through to the large 777 and A380 aircraft. This equipment maintains electrical systems while the aircraft is at the gate or being serviced.
Airspec also supplies and installs cable carrier systems and other ground support systems, such as Pre-conditioned air.
The position is a supervisory management role, but the person must also be capable of providing hands on technical support in an industry that is constantly changing.
 
The successful applicant:
- Must have extensive experience or power generation systems and converters.
- Be able to manage staff and assign priorities.
- Must be able to communicate with our client base at all levels.
- Provide technical support to our customers and technicians.
- Liaise with our overseas suppliers regarding sales warranty and parts.
- Cost jobs and provide equipment quotations
- Project manage installation work
- Have an appropriate electrical qualification, minimum EST.
- Be able to trouble shoot and fault find at a technical level.
- Have a current practicing licence.
- Be prepared to travel when required.
- Provide training for our customer base.
- Have a strong focus on health and safety and compliance.
