Job tasks and responsibilities
Due to growing demands on our workshop and tours, we have a position for a Full Time Team member primarily as a Bike Mechanic but part of the role will be working with our Tour operations. There is an option to start immediately but we are happy to wait if the ideal candidate applies
- Take charge of your allocated Customer Repairs and Servicing
- Be able to diagnose and order appropriate parts for repairs as they arise
- Assist with servicing our Fleet of Hire Bikes including Electric Bikes
- Have Bosch and Shimano certifications for Electric Bike Diagnostics and setups
- Build Retail Bikes to a shop ready standard
- Customer service and Retail Sales will also be part of your everyday role
- Be prepared to perform all tasks from washing bikes to taking out the rubbish
- Maintain a tidy and orderly work area
- Be prepared to work some weekends as we are a 7 day business
- We deal with a variety of overseas travel agency's especially Dutch and German, speaking a second language would be a definite advantage
Skills and experience
- Preferably 1 years of industry experience
- Be technically capable to work on MTB and road bikes to our recognised high standards.
- Electric bike servicing and diagnostic experience with Bosch, Shimano & Yamaha is a must have.
- Skills to diagnose issues and offer solutions quickly
- Be able to manage you own time in an effective manor
- Ability to communicate with a range of personalities
- Experience with IdealPos would be preferable.
