EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

-Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or other closely related field preferred;
-MBA Degree preferred;
-Minimum of eight (8) years of operations experience supporting an OEM supplier related manufacturing; or Minimum of five (5) years of experience in metal stamping and robotic welding, strongly preferred.
-Demonstrated experience managing production team members including initial hiring, skills assessment, performance management, career development, mentoring and coaching.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

-Fluent English (Level C1 - CEFR).
-Excellent computer skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint);
-Understanding of financial and operational reporting metrics;
-Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills to effectively lead, motivate, and facilitate in group settings;
-Strong communication skills;
-High level of analytical ability;
-Team oriented and familiar with Lean Manufacturing principles;
-Comfortable managing multiple tasks and competing priorities;
-Availability to travel.

Funciones

Gestamp Small Series & Prototypes Unit, located in Barcelona is a strategical part of Gestamp, an International Group dedicated to the design, development and manufacture of metal components and structural systems for the automotive industry. We’ve had strong growth, thanks to the quality of our employees who are dedicated to innovation and as we continue to evolve, we’re looking for a Plant Manager to join and directs our team. The Plant Manager will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the objectives of the Prototypes Plant. Responsible for planning and management of productive activities. Designing the plans in the short, medium and long term. This candidate will ensure proper management of the available resources, determining the procedures, as well as the standards or levels of Quality of the processes / products that guarantee the competitiveness of the company in its industrial aspect. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the operations of production related activities; -Lead the development of work instructions, process training, and supervision of daily operations; -Identify, develop, and implement strategies to meet and exceed production targets; -Lead and support the attainment of the budget and objectives relating to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost; -Maintain and update KPY’s reporting system; -Assist with internal and external certification audits (ISO and TS); -Recommend and implement initiatives for continuous improvement; -According HR policies and procedures, implement overall team development strategies; -Maintain compliance with all company policies and Health, Safety, and Environmental regulatory requirements; -Ensure safe work practices are being followed by all team members.
