The Job
As Maintenance Electrician for our Western Australian Operations, you will drive the improvement of overall equipment efficiency across the plant as a valued member of our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will use your technical expertise to complete plant and equipment inspections, maintenance and repairs within an industrial food production environment. You will also work towards the achievement of strategic, operational, financial, customer service and OHS targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing planned and unplanned maintenance schedules and breakdown service requirements
- Minimising the operational downtime and waste of site plant and equipment
- Delivering a high standard of customer service and developing strong relationships with stakeholders (internal and external)
- Resolving equipment reliability issues and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Taking the initiative to identify and develop improvement opportunities
- Utilising sound computer skills with the ability to produce accurate and timely reports
- Adherence to established document handling processes
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Maintenance Electrician
- Valid electrical trade qualification
- Valid Australian State Recognised Electrical Licence
- Significant experience in a continuous process industrial electrical environment working with continuous high speed processing and packaging equipment
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs) with extensive electrical fault finding skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics in 3D Auto Cad
- Comprehensive knowledge of AS/NZ 3000, the Electrical Safety Act, the Electrical Safety Regulation and the Electrical Code of Practice
- Awareness of OHS Legislation and processes
- Highly developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a 24 x 7 rotating roster
