The Opportunity
 
Due to significant business growth the Emerald Branch has multiple positions for highly experienced and motivated Belt Splicers Levels 2 and 3.

Requirements

• Belt splicing, repairs, maintenance and installations of fabric, steel cord and solid woven belt
• Identify common belt damage/faults and determine method of repair
• Operate mechanical conveyor belt handling equipment

 
Required Industry Experience
 

• Belt Splicer Level 2: Minimum of 3 years’ experience
• Belt Splicer Level3: Minimum of 5 years’ experience

 
Must Haves:

• A strong commitment to safety and quality
• Proven experience and knowledge of fabric, steel cord and solid woven splicing and Installations
• Conveyor maintenance experience
• Valid Driver’s Licence
• Willingness to work outside of hours as required
• Current Coal Board Medical underground and Standard 11
• Polymer Processing certification preferred
• Two current referees within the conveyor / mining industry
