THE ROLE

My client is seeking a Trade Qualified Diesel Fitter / Mechanic to join their team at Gladstone. The role reports to the Workshop Manager and will be required to perform mechanical repairs and servicing of heavy vehicles including:

• Preventative maintenance & repair of heavy rigid vehicles including brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics and fabrication
• Ensuring the fleet is maintained to, and in compliance with, Fleet Management Standards, with an emphasis on safety
• Onsite checks and breakdowns

THE CANDIDATE

• Trade qualified in the repair and maintenance of heavy commercial vehicles
• The Candidate MUST have experience in the field of Heavy Vehicle Road Transport – Trucks & Trailers
• Be customer service focused
• Good eye for detail
• Understanding of computer systems
• Be subject to a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing
• A HR licence preferred but not essential
