Blue Tongue specialises in hiring & training mechanics for the mining, heavy equipment, and transport (mining) . With over a decade of work-force planning for heavy maintenance, we have become known as the "go-to" boutique employer for automotive mechanics that are looking to break into mining equipment or mining transport.
We are currently partnering with leading OEM organisations in the mining industry to source, recruit, hire, train, employ and transition Light Vehicle Mechanics into Heavy Diesel.
We are seeking motivated candidates to partake in an 8-week intensive training course in Perth which will provide you with hands on heavy diesel repair experience before heading into the field.
Upon completion of the 8-weeks training you will start a placement Perth residential where we will coordinate your start. Training is due to start around Sept/Oct 2018.
This is a unique program and a golden pathway for motivated and experienced car mechanics to achieve great earnings and break into the top tiers of the mining and transport industries.
Successful applications will need to demonstrate:
- A certificate 3 in Light Vehicle Mechanic (minimum)
- Previous experience with dealer and/or independent workshops
- At least 3 years post trade experience
- Strong employment stability
- Previous exposure to heavy machinery will highly regarded
- Electrical and hydraulic knowledge is highly advantageous
All applicants will be required to participate in a pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening and national police clearance.
