Your new company
This a a long term contract within the public sector with the opportunity for permanency. This position is required to work rostered shifts across various designated Canberra work locations.
Your new role
Heavy vehicle mechanics are required to undertake maintenance and/or repair activities to the full range of Fleet vehicles, while adhering to safe working practices. They will be required to prioritise work activities to ensure that peak vehicle availability is met, liaising with other work groups and/or individuals to ensure tasks are completed within a designated timeframe, taking into account quality control measures. Provide assistance with projects, including modification programs and actively assist in the training and development of apprentices and staff and actively participate in all rostered shifts.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful person will need to undertake a Police Check & Medical check, have the relevant trade qualifications and/or certificates are mandatory. The occupant of this position must possess a heavy rigid driver’s licence.
What you'll get in return
A long term contract at around $60-$65 p/h + Super with the opportunity for permanency
