The successful candidate can expect to work on a wide range of irrigation equipment including controllers, valves, pipelines and associated machinery across a varied range of clients from domestic home and gardeners to Bowen Basin based mines

This is a varied role with the opportunity to gain further knowledge and experience in the pumping, water treatment and irrigation industry.

Candidates will have experience in:

• Install, repair and maintain domestic, industrial and commercial irrigation systems
• Read and interpret irrigation drawings and plans
• Fault find and troubleshooting of controllers, wiring and valve
• Complete mandatory reports - daily, weekly, monthly
• Being a team player and working within project teams
• Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
• Adhere to strict safety standards - OHS being at the forefront of you mind
• Work away from home as required on occasion.

To be eligible for this position, candidates must:

• Have irrigation / trenching / pipe-laying experience (installations, trouble shooting, repairs and maintenance)
• Hold a current manual Driver's License (MR Licence an advantage)
• Be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol
• Supply own hand tools
• Be legally permitted to work in Australia

The following experience and current competencies / qualifications are an advantage:

• Irrigation associated qualifications / competencies
• Qld Construction Industry Card (White Card)
• Pump repair and maintenance experience
• Vermeer Skid Steer / Dingo machinery competencies
