Weir Minerals Australia LTD, a member of the Weir Group PLC, is the market leader in the design, manufacture and supply of slurry pumps and allied minerals processing equipment to the mining industry, both within Australia and throughout the world.
We currently have a vacancy for a full time Mechanical Fitter at our Kalgoorlie Service Centre. This position will involve both workshop and onsite repairs to customers’ critical rotating equipment, valve repairs, shutdown work at customers’ sites, as well as general fitting duties.
To be successful in this role, an Australian recognised trade certificate as a Mechanical Fitter with previous experience in fitting/pump fitting in a heavy industrial environment is essential.
Experience with rotating equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, valves and crushing equipment would be highly regarded. Potential candidates must also be able to demonstrate a strong personal commitment to safety and a willingness to go the extra mile to achieve customer satisfaction.

A current Manual Australian Driving Licence is essential as this position will require some on-site work. A forklift, Dogging and rigging and MR licences would be desirable however not essential.
