Your new company
We are currently working with a well-known Aged Care provider who are currently seeking an experienced maintenance officers in the Northern suburbs to join their team working in their brand new facility.
Your new role
You will be responsible for all planned and corrective maintenance across the facility, implementation of processes and procedures, coordination of sub-contractors and client liaison. Your role will be to work on site at the Residence/s in your region providing high quality repairs and maintenance for the home. Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will be assisting the Residence Manager in ensuring the interior and exterior of the property is maintained to a high standard.
Day to day operations will include the following duties:
Completing minor repairs to the facility including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting needs
Attending to resident requests and proactive maintenance
• Management of the maintenance program
• Your main responsibilities include:
• Planned and unplanned maintenance
• Coordination of contractors and other external parties
• Maintaining compliance with the scheduled building and ground maintenance program
• Ensuring the facility and living environment is presented to a high standard, that is safe for residents
You are:
• Familiar with the use of electronic devices and software
• Effective in building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Highly organised with strong communication skills
• A good problem solver
• Honest, helpful and dependable - a real team player!
• Knowledgeable in OH&S regulations and committed to its implementation
• Trade qualified (highly regarded)

To be successful in this role you must have;
• Ability to work independently and manage own responsibilities.
• Physical capability to undertake a wide range of activities.
• Friendly and considerate manner with elderly residents.
• Recent Police check
• Current drivers licence.
• Understanding of safe work practices and OH&S procedures.
• Relevant Trade Certificate
• General maintenance experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience within the Aged Care or Hospital industries will be highly regarded
