Our client is seeking an experienced Trades Assistants to join their team.   
 
Our client:
As a specialist supplier to the construction industry, our client designs and manufactures custom casings for industrial air conditioning applications.
Due to current growth, they are expanding their manufacturing department in Carrum Downs, which has created an opportunity for 2 new trades assistants to join their small but driven manufacturing team.
 
 
About the job:
As a manufacturing trades assistant you will be responsible for the manufacturing and assembly of industrial air-conditioning unit casings. Reading from drawings, you will be required to produce casing units to customer specifications.  This will include all aspects of sheet metal work, including measuring, cutting, folding and assembly of products.
You will use a range of hand and power tools such as a reciprocator saw, rivet guns, bench saws, guillotine, edge bender.  
 
 
About you:
To be successful for the role you need to have excellent dexterity, be able to read off plans and be able to accurately measure and cut materials.  A background in sheet metal, cabinet making or similar type of work will be an advantage to be l for this role.  To be successful you will be required to:
 

• Be self motivated
• Be proficient in the use of hand and power tools
• Have accuracy and attention to detail
• Be able to work collaboratively within a small team
• Be reliable and have own transport
