Position: Maintenance Technician (Electrician – with a technical and mechanical mindset).  We operate in full production mode 24 / 7.  Our maintenance rosters are shift based to support the production team. 

Location: Carole Park.  Your own transport is necessary as this site is not accessible via public transport.

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager you will harness your skills and knowledge within the manufacturing / FMCG sector as part of a team, utilising your expertise in the areas of preventative maintenance, breakdown maintenance and project installations in order to maximise plant availability and reliability.  We're looking for a highly motivated individual who can remain calm under pressure, be innovative with their trouble shooting ability, logical thinkers and have a strong safety, team and customer focus.

Key accountabilities for the role will be across the following key areas:

• Maximising equipment availability across the site, through minimising breakdown time, and PM work completion
• Continuous Improvement of manufacturing process and packaging equipment
• Fault finding and problem solving with minimal supervision
• Adhering to safety and quality standards and demonstrable positive behaviours in these area’s

Key ingredients to be successful

• Trade Electrical Certificate qualifications and mechanical engineering background, together with relevant FMCG experience
• Hands on experience and knowledge off automation, controls and instrumentation
• VSD experience and Servo experience desirable
• Electrical and pneumatic motion control systems
• Excellent attention to detail, fault finding and diagnostic ability;
• Effective communication skills and customer focus mindset;
• Capability to organise daily tasks autonomously;
• Knowledge in Allen Bradley and Citect system control; PLC systems preferred;
• Knowledge of LOTO, Risk Assessments, JSA's, PPE and other OH&S requirements;
• Good understanding of management systems including TPM, 5S, ISO 9000
