The Diesel / Automotive Mechanic supports the Orchard Manager in ensuring the orchard and harvest equipment is available at all times for the orchard operation. This includes the servicing, maintenance and repair of equipment per servicing and operational requirements.

Reporting to the Orchard Manager you will have the autonomy to:

• Assist the Orchard Manager in the planning, monitoring and managing of key deliverables by achieving the long term sustainability of orchard equipment.

• Liaise with contractors to ensure time lines and scoped works are conducted within the planned maintenance programs in a safe environment

• Assist the management team with the development of master equipment matrix and recording of individual equipment activities

• Support and participate in the development of a team culture within Olam Almond Orchards

This is a ‘hands on’ role for someone who is trade qualified and has an output focus, who is able to think on their feet, troubleshoot and lead the team.

To be considered for an interview you will ideally have experience in maintaining agricultural equipment, relevant trade qualifications and basic computer skills. You will also have the energy and drive to persevere through long seasons.
