We have the excellent opportunity for an experienced trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic. This position requires a sound working knowledge of repairing earthmoving equipment, Heavy Vehicles and Armoured Vehicles from a variety of manufacturers, above average diagnostic abilities, good interpersonal and communication skills, and a willingness to work The workshop based in the Puckapunyal Military Base.
The requirements of this position are:
- We are looking for a well-rounded, qualified and skilled trade's person. We will also consider auto electrical/heavy vehicle mechanic trades.
- Able to work unsupervised in and out of a workshop environment and is WHS aware at all times.
- Able to show an aptitude for electrical, hydraulic systems and fault finding.
- Holds a current Drivers Licence. (Minimum HR licence).
- A person who can work independently and as part of a team that works towards a common goal.
- You will be responsible for the service, repair & maintenance of a large and varied fleet of plant equipment.
