Hofmann engineering’s established workshop in Perth is seeking to fill the position of a CNC 5Axis Machinist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming and operating CNC Mill centers to produce parts as per drawings.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as Vernier calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, depth micrometers and other measuring tools to achieve required tolerances.
- A good machining idea process plan jobs by selecting the right cutting tools and setup required to perform the job to tolerances and requirements.
- Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machining problems.
- Adhere to the Hofmann Safety Management System.
- Suggest and carry out continuous improvement on job and work practices.
Skills/Experience:
- Experience with CNC Mill Centers (3, 4 or 5 Axis) and preferably on Siemens 840D controls.
- Preferable experience in programming of Shopmill and G code Programming.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Experience in machining large jobs will be an advantage.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
- Willingness to work varied shifts.
