We are an established small to medium sized company with a great working team, have an excellent company safety record and a good ethical approach to work.  We have a great opportunity for the right applicant to join our team based in Canberra approx. 4 – 6 months.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day to day operational aspects, ensuring job specifications and design documentation are met  on time, on budget and quality processes are followed
• Planning and scheduling of labour and materials, to achieve project milestones whilst ensuring to meet the Project Build Schedule dates in collaboration with the Project Manager
• Effectively resolve issues as they arise whilst guiding the team to do their best work
• Identifying any defects, errors or variations in all aspects of the project and ensuring all applicable paperwork and checklists are completed.
• Monitor productivity, complete documentation and build effective relationships & communication with everyone on site including our clients representatives
• Manage & direct employees & sub-contractors.

Ideally the successful applicant will have:

• Trade Qualified Electrician & qualifications related to the industry beneficial
• A minimum of  5 years on site Leading Hand / Foreman experience in commercial electrical projects
• Ability to organise, plan and lead is essential
• Exemplary communicator who prides themselves on developing and maintain relationships
• Disciplined administrator who completes all documentation as required
• Ability to manage people effectively
• Fits well in a team but also has the ability to work autonomously
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Cardiac & body  protect experience preferred but not essential
• Familiarisation  with  the AS3003/2011
• Proven computer literacy including tablet and smart phone
• Positive, can-do attitude with a determination to excel
