We are currently seeking a Full Time Handyperson to join our hard working repairs & maintenance team at our Cypress Lakes property. This position requires an experienced, professional, reliable and well organised person flexible to work over a rotating roster Monday to Saturday (with every second weekend off).

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HANDYPERSON AT OAKS...
- Your number one priority will be to maintain the high standard of presentation of our properties;
- Undertake general repairs and maintenance of the hotel rooms & common areas;
- Ensure the common areas of the building are managed and presented pursuant to the requirements set by the Body Corporate;
- Maintain accurate paper and electronic records of jobs completed;
- Ensure maintenance equipment is in perfect working order;
- Be fully conversant with the Fire Control Room, its facilities, and the Property's Fire and Evacuation procedures as well as Occupational, Health and Safety requirements; and
- Build & maintain professional and courteous relationships with guests, co-workers and management.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
- Previous hands-on repairs & maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel environment;
- Carpentry skills;
- Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines;
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills & impeccable presentation;
- Confidence and a 'can do' attitude;
- Proven ability to work independently & as part of a team.
