The Company is a printer and manufacturer of Flexible Packaging. Flexible Packaging examples include frozen food packaging, bread bags, biscuit wraps, pet food bags and lots more.
The role is for someone experienced in production coordination and procurement, to make sure all of the raw materials are available for manufacturing, even down to the cartons required for despatch.
You don’t have to have printing knowledge, but if you have previously worked in Label or Packaging manufacturing, or some other part of the printing industry, that would be an advantage.
These printing machines are very expensive to run, so you will need great attention to detail and competent computer skills to ensure all of the materials and information are exactly right, and when you order materials from outside suppliers, that the deliveries are on time and within spec.
Most of the time you will be working from a desk and phone, but sometimes you will need to go into the production plant. This can be a little noisy.
The hours: Monday to Friday 7.00am start time. Sometimes a little earlier as that is when the production shifts change.
The location: Melbourne’s South Eastern suburbs not easily reached by public transport, so consider this if you don’t have your own transport.
Salary: $55,000 p.a. plus super. If you want more, you will need to have solid experience in a similar position.
