An exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Fabricator/TIG Welder currently exists to join our Maintenance team at our Brooklyn Plant. Located just 15 minutes west of the Melbourne CBD, our Brooklyn Plant is a 5 day, multi-species operation with the capacity to process up to 1,400 head of cattle and 8,200 head of small stock per day.
Our Maintenance team comprises of several Fitters, Electricians and Plumbers. We are now adding fabrication, for production of all types of work from a simple repair of existing guarding to hard facing and overhead structural welding.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Installing and commission machinery and equipment
- Reading and interpreting drawings
- Performing welding tasks familiarity with site permit systems.
- Welding and cutting with , S/S Tig, Mig, Stick, oxy,
Criteria
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Previous experience as a Fabricator / TIG Welder of Stainless Steel
- Qualifications / Licence to operate welding equipment, MIG & TIG
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and follow project definitions
- The ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to meet deadlines and goals
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable transport.
- Ability to work as part of the team and individually
- Ability to follow JBS Australia Policies and Procedures
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Strong work ethic
