Economix is seeking a qualified and experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to maintain our fleet of Agitator and B-double trucks. This is a full time role, our workshop is located in the western suburb of Deer Park, Victoria.
Minimum 40 hours per week. You will be working with a team of dedicated mechanics in a fast paced environment.
The position will include duties such as but not limited to:
• Carry out all vehicle inspections as per company standard
• Ability to diagnose and action mechanical faults
• Communicate with transport and production managers on relevant repair matters
• Maintain a safe organized workshop and work area
• Undertake mechanical repairs (across our fleet of vehicles located across City of Melbourne and Greater Geelong)
• Maintain service records to a high standard
• Manage records to ensure proper and accurate information
• Parts ordering and negotiation
• Understanding OHS requirements
We are looking for:
• Trade qualifications as a Heavy Vehicle diesel mechanic
• Previous experience as a diesel mechanic
• Demonstrate clear understanding of OHS procedure and workshop procedures
• Reliable and honest
• Self-motivated
• Attention to detail
• Adhere to tasks given by management
• Great work ethic
Having a reliable vehicle is essential, company vehicle will be provided when travelling between sites.
