For over 65 years the Windgap Foundation has been dedicated to improving the quality of life for people living with an intellectual disability.
A rare opportunity has arisen within our outdoor services division for a Team Supervisor to join our Growability team. A business enterprise of Windgap consisting of both supported and unsupported employees, Growability provides an array of outdoor services such as lawn mowing and garden maintenance to both private and commercial clients in the Eastern Suburbs.
The focus and purpose of this role is to provide person centred support and role modelling workplace behaviour in a hands on environment, and being the face of Growability to ensure customer satisfaction, whilst growing and developing new and existing business relationships.
To be successful in this opportunity, candidates must be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:
- A strong commitment to the inclusion of people with disabilities in the community
- Previous experience in garden maintenance/landscaping environment
- Understanding the principles of empowerment and social integration
- A good level of general fitness with the ability to complete manual handling tasks
- An engaging, people orientated nature with a personal approach
- Excellent time management with strong prioritising abilities
- Minimum level of intermediate computer skills and familiarity with MS Word, Outlook, Excel
- Current NSW driver's licence and willingness to drive large trucks/utilities
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
- Experience in the Disability field is preferred but not essential
This opportunity can be either a full time role with the working hours of 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, or a three day a week role working 8am - 4pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
