Our Information Technology Centre ITeC in Mascot, specialises in repairing and maintaining mission critical systems that are indispensable for businesses. We have clients in banking, retail and the telecommunications industry.
We are currently looking for an energetic and committed Electronics Repairs Technician to join our team of dedicated technicians.
You will be responsible for:
- Performing repairs, alignment and testing to telecommunication and retail electronic equipment
- Conducting initial inspection and diagnosis of the fault
- Providing analysis of the fault using circuit diagrams
- Performing diagnostics using test equipment e.g. multimeter and oscilloscopes
- Locating and replacing defective components/parts in the equipment under repair
- Reporting on repairs in our computer database
To be successful you must have:
- Certificate (or higher) qualification in electronics or electrical engineering
- Demonstrate fault finding skills utilising equipment such as a Multimeter and an Oscilloscope
- Well-developed soldering skills including surface mount components and plated thru hole PCBs
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and spoken
- Understanding and experience working with quality assurance and WHS policies and procedures
- Commitment to working in a team environment
