Urban Maintenance Systems Pty Ltd (UMS) is a specialist provider of Facilities and Grounds Maintenance services to Government, Local Government and Private Sector organisations throughout Australia, with more than twenty years' experience.
UMS have been successful has secured a long-term contact with a local government and therefore has created opportunities in the Grounds and Open Space division.
We currently have opportunities available for Grounds Worker and Turf Crew Member to join our Clyde team on a full time basis.
Essential responsibilities for the position include:
- General mowing (both walk behind and ride-on mowers, wiper snipping and blowing pathways and associated areas) for use on sports grounds and passive turf
- Wide area mowing
- Cylinder mowing operator in sports fields and golf courses
- Collection of rubbish
- Operating & maintaining machinery
- Responsible for arriving and departing safely from depot
- OH&S processes and procedures adhered to daily (non-negotiable)
Essential requirements for the position include:
- Minimum 1 years' experience in grounds and open space and/or turf management role
- Manual drivers licence (MR preferred)
- Certificate III in Sports Turf Management or Horticulture preferred
- Excellent customer service focus and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
- Strong safety, environment, and quality focus
- Mechanically minded
