Responsibilities & Duties
The Maintenance Fitter reports to the Engineering Maintenance Manager and is responsible for attending to plant and equipment breakdowns undertaking troubleshooting and repair. In addition to this, the role performs preventative maintenance enabling the production team to produce high quality products
Responsibilities for this key role will include;
- Attend to equipment breakdown associated fault finding & rectification
- Preventative maintenance and servicing of all production equipment
- Constant review of production line to ensure optimal effectiveness
- Manage equipment spare parts inventory and tooling
- Provide recommendation with equipment selection
- Manage contractors
Skills & Qualifications required
- Fitter, Fitter and Turner or Fitter/Machinist Qualifications
- Current drivers licence
- Forklift licence is desirable
- Steel fabrication Manufacturing knowledge or relevant industry experience
- Minimum of five years of demonstrated experience in an industrial/production/facility maintenance environment
- Have attention to detail
- Proactive approach to maintenance issues
