Power Protect provides installation and maintenance services to critical power equipment for customers in a variety of industries.
Our team support Uninterrupted Power Supplies, DC Systems, Automatic Transfer Switches, Diesel Generators, Harmonic Filters, Frequency Converters and Power Factor Correction equipment.
We are currently looking for a qualified electrician or 4th year apprentice that's interested in gaining experience in installation, commissioning and maintenance of Generators and Uninterrupted Power Supply equipment to join our Sydney branch based at Chipping Norton. Remuneration is commensurate with experience and includes vehicle, phone and laptop. Work is primarily in the Sydney region however regional and interstate travel may be required.

About the role:
As a Field Service Electrician for Power Protect you will be responsible for installation, commissioning, and ongoing service for a variety of power quality and reliability equipment. You will take part in consulting with clients on their specific requirements and work with sales and project teams to ensure the smooth delivery and implementation of upgrades and new installations.
Our staff are responsible for providing reports and advice to our valued client base, ensuring clients are informed about the strengths and weaknesses of their critical power systems. We advocate thorough testing of systems to ensure they are reliable and are rewarded with dedicated clients that value our expertise and professionalism.
For your application to be successful meeting the following criteria are essential:
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Mature outlook and eagerness to expand your knowledge
- Hold or be eligible to hold an NSW Electrical Licence
- Sound computer skills in Excel / Word applications
To gain a position with Power Protect the following criteria are desirable:
- Strong background working with data centre and/or facilities management clients
- Experience with UPS, Diesel Generators, Automatic Transfer Switches, or Harmonic Filters
